I HAVE THRIVED

The Month of April
Great it has been
Days of singing and weeping I have had
Nights of soundness and restlessness I have had
Moments of surety and doubt I have had
But I have thrived all the same
I have surpassed, I have thrived

The Lord has been watching
My every step
He has smiled,
He has frowned,
He has comforted
And He has admonished
 I  love Him
He is my father and He thinks I have thrived

I have gone further journey-wise
More than ever
Experienced new haunts
New cultures and climates
I have Thrived
I intend to thrive forever

I CAN WALK TALL

The first trimester is coming to an end
The new beginnings I had established
They are going strong
I feel proud
I can walk tall

I relate well with everyone
I have grown some
Like a novice cow girl, who finally learnt to bridle a horse
I feel proud
I can walk tall 

Mmmmh.!!

Ah..Mmmmh! They say!
How will she do it?
Mmmmmhh! when will she do it?
Mmmmhhh! they scorn,
She keeps him waiting!
Mmmmhh! And what is she up to?
Mmmmhh! she did it!!
Unbelieavable!

DELUSIONAL SUNSET

Tis serene, warm and glowing
Tis far off, there at the horizon
The birds have stopped chirping
The wind blows calmly
The country roads are quiet
Only the distant bark of a dog

The sunset, sits there
Very beautiful,
Lulling you into all is well
Whispering peace that you dont feel within
As you sit and watch it
It promises you better things
Better tommorow

You sit and watch the sunset
It calms you even more than the Vat 69 you are sipping
You sing to it
And it shines and smiles at you
It then beckons you
To ride with your lover
Into the delusional sunset!

THANKFUL AND HOPEFUL ALL THE SAME

Ah! the new year!
The first trimester of the year
So much hope, so much faith
Some major goals
Some major changes
Hell bent on carrying them out.
So desperately wanting everything to work out
And believing in God.
To come through this time

But grateful I will be
For all he has done over the years
For watching over me as I stumbled
For holding my hand when I needed someone to
For embracing me when I am torn and sad.
For giving me hope when there is nothing to believe in.
And for giving me love and a family

Hoping to do it differently this time.
Hoping to make a difference in every life I touch.

I NEED TO BREATHE

Please Please,
Somebody help me..
I need a breather
From a dreadful life..
A life of boredom
I need a spice
A spice to wake me up
From this mundane living

AWOKE I DID WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDED

Ah.. September..a month.
